sry, i don't get it. we talked on irc and established that this is an ffmpeg issue (if it is one). why are you reporting it here? it will make it even less likely to be fixed that way.

Oh, it's just that there were lot of technical stuff most of which I didn't understand and there was this testing & I found couple of similar issues reported here; I wasn't entirely sure if I should report this here or over ffmpeg. Sorry my bad. I'll open an issue there.

EDIT: I can't seem to find a way to post an issue on the ffmpeg repository.

the mpv log isn't really helpful for ffmpeg devs. you should post the out of ffmpeg -hwaccel videotoolbox -loglevel verbose -i /PATH/TO/FILE.mp4 -f null.
