This allows options to be set from the command line like such:
SESSION=login PREFIX=/usr make

This PR sets the following Makefile variables assignable:

  • srcdir
  • PREFIX
  • MANPREFIX
  • SESSION

One thing to note with this approach:
You will need to pass the same variables to a sudo make install after a make, like such:
sudo SESSION=login make

There's no need for this. This can be achieved by putting the assignments into make's argument list:

make SESSION=login install
