Material Navigation

Android Material Navigation (ToolBar, Navigation Drawer, Navigation View, Tabs, CardView, ViewPager)

Components of Material Navigation:

  • Support for Android API 8+
  • ToolBar
  • Navigation Drawer (with indicator animation)
  • Navigation View
  • Dynamic Tabs (customized SlidingTabs of Google/iosched)
  • SearchView
  • CardView
  • ViewPager
  • Fragmentation (for ViewPager)
  • AppCompat Activity

  • All styles defined in styles.xml
  • All texts defined in strings.xml (ready for Localizing)
  • Moreover all of them in one activity

Customizations:

Change drawer side (default position start):

Change navDrawerPanel's "layout_gravity" to "end" in activity_main.xml:

	android:layout_gravity="end"

Change indicator color:

in setTabs method of Main Activity

slidingTabLayout.setCustomTabColorizer(new SlidingTabLayout.TabColorizer() {
	@Override
	public int getIndicatorColor(int position) {
		return Color.RED;
	}
});
