Long kaji words in quiz mode obstruct hirigana readings in both orientations

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to quiz mode for a long entry (see attached image)
2. Do kanji first quiz
3. When you press to see answer, the hirigana reading is not displayed in any 
screen orientation.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the hirigana so I can read :)

What version of Android are you using?
5 something (Nexus 5, newest update)

Please provide any additional information below.
The problem exists in english-first quiz mode too.
