Hi,
Kanji junctures seem to be listed without a specific sorting criteria. It would be good to order them by increasing level of difficulty, e.g. by JLPT level. If the list of available junctures is very long, typical for fundamental kanjis, it might affect responsiveness of the app, so ideally an option to enable/disable this function should be available.
Thanx

Actually, currently the juncture list should be ordered so that the most common kanjis are first. This nicely corresponds to the JLPT levels. The sorting is done by Lucene and is blazingly fast, so it's always done.
Of course, if this is not true, then there is a bug in Aedict. In that case just let me know the exact kanji. Thanks!

Hi,
Yes I do acknowledge that some kind of logic is already applied to the sorting process. And in fact I might have been too anal on this. You won't find a JLPT4 or 5 kanji at the bottom of the list.
I raised it after noticing that for the following kanjis the JLPT order is a bit mixed, at least at the beginning:
雨 (ame): 2,1,1,2,3,1,
月 (tsuki): 5,4,3,3,4,3,4,
As said, it's not a big deal, more just an observation.
I'd still be interested to know what you mean by "most common kanji first". Is that based on a specific ranking?
As usual, thanx for your great support

Yup, basically I found somewhere a list of 1000 most common kanjis, sorted from most common. The list is as follows:

Maybe the list needs to be reviewed whether it actually makes any sense and is not obsolete ;)
It is actually very easy to change the sort order, first by JLPT descending (so that JLPT5 kanjis are first), then by commonality. So, if you believe this sorting order makes more sense then I can change that. What do you think?

Hi, yes if the effort is minimal I would appreciate if sorting is done by JLPT level as you indicated below. Thanks again!
