So that the config doesn't have to be duplicated in capistrano and in the sysvinit file. Could possibly remove it from nginx too?

Related to #1647

We might be better off using Unicorn. The example sysvinit only creates one instance of thin, so you wouldn't get any concurrency without setting up a thin cluster. Unicorn might be a bit easier on the end user side, where we can just have a parameter which configures the workers.

No longer true as of #2977 & #2991.
