nested grid containers should have padding set to 0.

I often have divs "banner" and "account" and "search" inside a div "header". I want to use the grid container not just for my "header", "content" and "footer" but within those general content sections as well.

Am I just straight up missing something here? It seems like a common use case, and I don't object to the parent .grid-container having default padding. Right now I am using inline styling of padding:0 to achieve what I want.

You shouldn't be nesting a .grid-container within another.

If you need a general purpose container, just use a <div> with a class name of your choosing.

It needn't be a .grid-container.

@whistlerbrk I may have misunderstood but are you not looking for the .grid-parent class ?

Yes I am, this is my mistake, I only looked at the CSS documentation, since I'm using this for a static page, which did not mention the grid-parent class / grid reset ability. I'd fork docs if I saw a repo.

I'm going to re-open this ticket, so I remember to document .grid-parent — Sorry for the oversight!

Okay, I've added a section on "Nested Grids, Zero Padding" to the CSS documentation…
