can I convince you to use the non-gradient version? it looks a bit cleaner and is what I've already started to use around the place (e.g. github logo)

hrm. also, why is the resolution hardcoded? ideally we should probably provide an SVG version (since it isn't used often / not really performance-critical) and scale it to the screen inside lipstick-colorful-home

... and is the orientation going to be an issue?

IMHO the most flexible solution would be one that doesn't use a fullscreen image but something that can be centered on the screen on any reasonably sized screen and rotated as necessary. That would mean a solid color background (any color) and a logo image that can be nicely placed in the middle.

perhaps we should just use the logo sans gradient as is. @sledges, ok?

New PR pending, as soon as I'll sort out whether logo and disclaimer PNGs are BSD or LGPL..
