@mdeverdelhan: 'I know that it's possible to detect variable length circles with Cypher like this:

start s=node(3)
match circle=a-[:KNOWS, :FRIENDS*1..3]->x<-[:WORKS*1..4]-a
return circle

In addition, it would be nice if there was a way to match more complex (i.e. with specific subpaths, more complexes than simple edges) circles on the MATCH clause in Cypher. Then it could look like that:

start s=node(3)
match circle=a-{[:KNOWS, :FRIENDS]->x<-[:WORKS]*1..3}-a
return circle

... which could even match circles like: a-[:KNOWS]->v<-[:WORKS]-w-[:FRIENDS]->x<-[:WORKS]-y-[:KNOWS]->z<-[:WORKS]-a

Note that I don't know how hard it is to implement.

Thanks.
