Cypher: Collect of Collect with strange results #355

You need some sample data to be able to see anything, but the matrix example works.

curl -X POST -H Accept:application/json -H Content-Type:application/json -v http://localhost:7474/db/data/cypher -d '{"query":"start n=node(*) match n--m--fof with n, m, collect(fof) as fof return n, collect(m), collect(fof);", "params":{}}'

The question is, why are some things coming back as "List(...)"--did this always work this way?

Is this a REST or cypher issue?

List(...,...) is scala print syntax, so it might be from Cypher. Not entirely sure though.

Hi. I'm working with ruby, I get the result as string and not as array, so I cannot do with it anything. any news?

This is a REST issue. Collections of collections work well in Cypher:

@wwm Meital, to work around the issue for now, you can use ruby string functions to split up the data, but you're right it should be handled correctly in the server response.
