Release 0.2

@nesteruk nesteruk released this Dec 19, 2016 · 4 commits to master since this release

This is version 0.2! If you've already installed CallSharp, you do not need to install this release -- just launch CallSharp and the application will self-update!

This version has one major improvement: instead of dynamic (reflection-based) API searches, all APIs that are searched are hard-coded via T4. As a result, even deep searches no longer take so much time since there's no reflection being used.

The searches for this release are currently unconstrained, meaning you might get too many results including rather long and convoluted call chains (up to 3 methods called in a sequence). On the other hand, the application currently does not support:

  • Indexers
  • Properties are only supported sporadically
  • Generic types (main implication being that we cannot yet find IEnumerable<T> LINQ calls)

The above features are coming in 0.3!

Release 0.1

@nesteruk nesteruk released this Oct 5, 2016 · 17 commits to master since this release

This is the introductory release of CallSharp. The version 0.1 should give you a hint as to the fact the software is still in the early stages, even though it works. Some things worth noting:

  • The installer is based on ClickOnce and is self-updating. We'll be updating the application and you'll receive new versions as they come out.
  • Currently, the software performs a candidate search on the UI thread, in a single thread. We'll get it fixed but, for now, don't be surprised by everything freezing.
  • Searches do take a long amount of time if no simple matches are found. At the moment, we do not have cancellation functionality, so you'll have to terminate the app.
