No good reason not to do this, just in case they ever add anything smaller than micro...

It's also important to note that Micro instances are intended for "bursty" activity and will be limited in non-specific ways by Amazon. Since many load-test tools (like ab) use lots of CPU, this can prevent getting accurate load testing results.

So personally I'd want to be able to spin up Small or even Large instances for testing.
