make rel_yaws fails to build a nitrogen project with yaws, looks like it has to do with a link created in nitrogen/apps

It's caused by the yaws download. In the tarball that's downloaded, it includes a symlink to "yaws" which is unnecessary. The solution, in the get_yaws.sh script, is to check if there's a symlink called "yaws" and if so, delete it. Seems hackish to me, but it'd work.

May be a different issue, but I'll comment here anyway:

make rel_yaws fails, complaining that it can't find include lib "xmerl/include/xmerl.hrl". There doesn't seem to be a get_yaws.sh that I can edit, and the problem doesn't seem to be related to any symlinks.

EDIT: Installing xmerl.hrl in my existing Erlang system doesn't seem to solve the problem. yaws_dav.erl looks like it's including xmerl from a local directory that doesn't exist.

Yeah, these are unrelated issues.

If the xmerl issue I mentioned in IRC doesn't solve the problem, try
pulling from my recently merged branch (just a few minutes ago).

This should properly xmerl with the reltool packager.

Let me know,

Had to install libpam0g-dev, but it did make properly after your edits. Still not really working though. bin/nitrogen console now throws an error and responds with a stack dump out of the box: Internal error, yaws code crashed.

Should I start a separate issue for this, and post the full stack dump or just put it here?

Sure, go ahead and start a separate issue, as the original issue is
definitely unrelated and I'll close this issue.

I'm curious to see the stack trace.

Thanks.
