kinstats

Part of a collection of Kinect hacks and tools by Mike Bourgeous.

kinstats displays some very basic statistics about the data coming from a Kinect sensor's depth data, including the minimum, mean, median, and maximum, the percentage of shadowed or out-of-bound depth pixels, etc. kinstats can also repeatedly output a single statistic, intended for piping into other programs.

Requirements

You will need libfreenect from the OpenKinect project to compile kinstats.

Compiling and Running

$ make
$ ./kinstats

Command-line Options

Usage: ./kinstats -[mMaAv]
Use one of:
    m - median
    M - scaled median
    a - mean
    A - scaled mean
    v - verbose (default)
