Disable non Gluster protocols in Wireshark

nixpanic edited this page May 27, 2012 · 1 revision

The different protocol dissectors in Wireshark try to determine if a packet/frame belongs to their protocol. Sometimes these detectors get this wrong and take ownership of a stream which does not belong to them. Common protocols that have these conflicts with Gluster are: PCEP, SSL, SSLv2, STUN, TurnChannel, rsync.

Resolving this is pretty easy:

  1. open the Analyze, Enabled Protocols... window

  2. type pcep or scroll down in the list and uncheck the box

  3. click OK and verify the results (repeat the steps in case an other non-gluster protocol is being detected)

You can’t perform that action at this time.
