This is not something the core development team is likely to work on any time soon since we have much higher priorities for Zenmap like upgrading to Python3. But it would be a nice feature that several folks have requested. I'm adding it here so we don't forget about it when we do have time, or to give the opportunity for others to comment or even start work on an implementation. Many other apps (especially cell phone apps) have started adding this.

Thanks folks. We're nearing completion of the Python3 upgrade for the upcoming Nmap/Zenmap release and I'm adding this to the list of features we consider adding after that release. Or if anyone beats us to it, they are welcome and encouraged to submit a PR. Be sure to base it on the latest (Python3) code in our repo.

This is a workaround to enable dark theme in KDE Fedora Linux.

My system info:

Operating System: Fedora Linux 38
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.6
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.108.0
Qt Version: 5.15.10
Kernel Version: 6.4.11-200.fc38.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

Of course you will need to run zenmap as root, so the theme settings for your current user will not apply for the root user. All you need to do is logout from your current user and login again as root, then change the theme settings for the root user to dark. Logout and login again to your normal user and you will find that the app now has the dark theme.

Do You plan to make the Dark Theme for Zenmap GUI - working and operational :) also under Windows ?
This will be great - in my opinion - for lots of people :)

Thanks in advance ! :)

Light Mode == eyeball flamethrower
Dark Mode == gentle caress of effervescent warmth for the eyes

Pathological we don't have dark mode, come on this should be top priority. does any developers at nmap know anything about basic psychology?
More eyes on zenmap/nmap - More money and more progress into the project. THIS SHOULD BE IN YOUR BEST INTEREST! ... studies show i am 80% less interested in zenmap and nmap and cyber security over all because its making me need glasses 20x sooner and i really cba to make my own custom nmap frame work right now when i have other projects, zenmap is convenient enumerating attackers on my website every now and again but sometimes i really can't be bothered with the blinding glare!!

it's terrible to be using any dark mode app and then switching to nmap in the middle of the night
