If you fence your coffeescript code blocks like this:

``` coffeescript
(coffeescript code here)
```

...you'll get syntax highlighting.

I get the idea from your readme that you're hoping that people who don't know coffeescript take a look at it and I think syntax highlighting makes an unfamiliar language easier to read.

Also the main objection to fenced code blocks is that it isn't standard markdown, and having chosen to use a different syntax for JavaScript, coffeescripters are unlikely to see this a deal-breaker.
