TravisCI will now require credits even for open source projects, and I'm too lazy dealing with that. They also had problems quite regularly getting the build status properly reported into the PR status, so PRs got stuck because Travis finished successfully, but GitHub didn't know about it. No idea which side is at fault, but all we used can be done with GitHub actions also.
