README.md

portfolio site.

much simpler and hopefully easier to update. time will tell.

Changes

Jan 2016: Now in plain html, since an up-to-date bug-free portfolio is better than a shiny portfolio. Also, people keep asking me what I, personally, did. Now I have sections to highlight that.

Directory Structure

Naming Convention

Files to change to add a new project

Say we name it some_project

First, create a 150x150px thumbnail for the project. Store under img/thumbs/some_project.jpg

index.md: add to table. First the title, "Some project", then add a number in square brackets.ndex.md: add to table. First the title, "A project", then add a number in square brackets.

| [**Some Project**][1] |

index.md: then add the thumbnail. Goes in the other line and

| [![](img/thumbs/some_project.jpg)][1] |

index.md: then add to square bracket list, link to the projects/some_project.html

Then for project page.

images: add to images/some_project/1.jpg, 2.jpg, etc.

projects/some_project.md : create this file.

Start off with title. then date. Some pictures. { width=50% } See: http://pandoc.org/MANUAL.html#images Maybe use headers to caption?

then some text. no more than two paragraphs? rest should be images. consider linking to blog post for more details; however, this could break if I move to grav and be a pain to fix potentially (might just be a simple regex, dunno). It's just a portfolio -- they can ask more questions later.

(maybe move this to css file?)

ome text.

Run pandoc on all files

???

Todo

Add tags, somehow. bleah. DEFINITELY: One or two projects to highlight!!! Can even do some brief explanation of them at the top
