(From discussion with Isaac today.) This lock file would guard against stomping when there are concurrent npm installs using the same cache dir.

@isaacs this can be closed now, right? (this is in npm v1.1.33 -- in node v0.8.1 -- with some update in npm v.1.1.34, IIUC)
