@xkeshav As the error message states, it looks like you are trying to install a version of mongodb which does not exist. Have you tried changing the desired version range to one which encompasses at least one of those versions listed in the error message?

I have checked the version using db.version() on mongo console and it returns 3.2.6

that's why I have changed the version in my nodejs example folder's package.json and run

sudo npm install

and it gives error

@xkeshav Like I said, such a version of the mongodb module does not exist. I think you are confusing that version for the driver version, which it is not. That's the version of the Mongo database you have installed. The mongodb package is a driver for the database, and there is absolutely no necessity nor guarantee for the two to be completely "in sync" version-number-wise.

no, it;s not resolved but I found that there is no support of latest mongodb on ubuntu16.04
