I am learning Angular from this tutorial: http://www.thinkster.io/angularjs/r1gRPYp4kM/angularjs-tutorial-learn-to-build-modern-webapps and here is what I have done so far:

I installed Node on my 64bit Windows 7 machine. After that, while installing yeoman, I got this issue: #5783

I ignored that issue, assuming that it was trivial and installed generator-angular which was successful.

After that, while doing "yo angular", here is what happened: https://gist.github.com/rdesai03/6d30010233af64314aa9

As you can see, the first error is "Failed to parse json" at line # 78, followed by numerous other errors.

Am I doing anything wrong here? I tried this on a different computer with 32 bit Windows 7, still the same problem. I used Command Prompt as an Administrator, still.

I think you may have encountered a transient error, either with the dependencies of the modules Yeoman was installing, or with npm's registry itself. If you try again, things should work, but before doing that, read the details of the resolution of #6043 and read up on how to install the newest version of npm, which includes fixes for a number of Yeoman-related issues.

You may have to do a little futzing with your path / restarting of cmd.exe or your Windows box altogether, but that's Windows! 🎉 Either way, npm 2 should work much better with Yeoman. Thanks for your patience!
