Although many people have reported success with the current version of NVDA and 64 bit versions of Windows, there is some broken functionality which needs to be specifically addressed.

One reported issue is that NVDA does not speak typed characters in Vista 64 bit. This is probably because NVDAHelper needs to inject into processes, but it is only 32 bit, so can't inject into 64 bit processes.

I can reproduce the fact that keyboard input does not get spoken also on Windows 7 RC1 64-bit edition.
