Instead of announcing “ALT”, A L T is announced in the options dialog in Outlook 2010 when the announcement of the keyboard shortcuts of the controls are announced. This behaviour is not found in the options dialog of other office apps such as MS Word. For example, NVDA announces A L T B instead announcing ALT+ B.
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open the otpions dialog from file menu.
  2. TAB twosome of the controls in the dialog.
  3. NVDA announces the keyboard shortcuts are A L T B etc instead ofanouncing the complete word “ALT” before the hot key.
  4. This is not observed in other office apps.

I'm pretty sure this is specific to eSpeak and is being triggered because alt is capitalised (ALT). It doesn't seem to occur when the word ALT occurs by itself.
