It is not currently possible to disable the reporting of keyboard shortcuts in virtual buffers. Virtual buffers do not honour the Object presentation -> Report object shortcut keys setting.

There are two possible solutions:

  1. Make virtual buffers honour the object presentation setting.
    • Should an object presentation setting be used for buffers? I can't see why not, given that they do honour document formatting settings.
  2. Implement another virtual buffer or document formatting setting.
