based on this issue, #208

tested while implementing this pull request, basically copied the behavior of the feature start code.

I think this is a pretty much required feature.

Can we please expect a response on this? It's there from 2012!

@CuriousLearner Unfortunately, this repository has been dead for quite some time. However, this fork is now considered to be the definitive version (e.g. apt install gitflow will install gitflow-avh)
