This is a feature request. It would be great if we had native non-blocking versions of alert, prompt, and confirm whereby a third parameter was a callback function to receive results. I like that file dialogs are non-modal and do not block; this is a great while a window works in the background -it is very good.
However, alert, confirm, and prompt will stop all execution across node contexts and windows. I've implemented JS versions of non-blocking dialogs, but these will not have the same localization/look/feel of native dialogs. The fallback with no callback parameter is to invoke the blocking version (i.e. I have created, alert = function( message, callback ); ).

It's used to be non-blocking. But it's requested to change back to blocking to remain the same behavior with browser. See #82 (comment)
