It seems that file1, file2 and file5 have been derived from the same source since they are simple and use the same algorithm and look similar. Besides, file3 and file4 are similar since they have 'exception' part.
If these five files are derived from some other source, all of them should include an acknowledgement.
Something like "Derived from xxx's code at github.com/xxx/source_repo."
