Branches

• main - going forward, HEAD will always be a tagged release. In theory.

• beta - for each major version, we have a beta branch, e.g. beta/v1. The HEAD will always be a tagged beta version, e.g. v1.0.0-beta.1.

• dev - unstable. This is where active development occurs.
