Yo! The following adds some basic specs to backstop w/o changing much in terms of existing code. I have abstracted the direct calls to TCPSocket into a separate class called Publisher.
Writing these tests helped expose the fact that each one of these paths really needs to be delegated to its own code path outside of web. I can start hacking on that if this gets accepted.
Run tests w/ bundle exec rspec.
bundle exec rspec
time to start fleshing out some tests here
stake in the ground for Publisher
a Publisher can publish
Publisher: timestamp is optional
beginnings of web spec
specs for /collectd and /publish/:name
specs for /github
Merge pull request #1 from gorsuch/initial-specs
This may be a silly question, but, why the "mitt" prefix?
Mitt was the predecessor to Backstop.
Ah. Yea...sorry...I did see that in the README but didn't connect the dots. Thanks.
