We distinguish between "bone element" and "bone tissue" (same for cartilage etc).

It's been brought to our attention that "bone element" sounds like a grouping for the constituents of bone: osteoblasts, calcium etc.

Do we keep this and better document our decision? Or change? We should survey different communities.

Other options:

  • bone (current a shared syn between bone and bone element)
  • bone organ (as in the FMA)
  • entire bone
  • whole bone
