Review of annotations for the gold standard suggests that we need to work on the centrale and central carpal terms in Uberon, either by merging some of them or changing the definitions of others so they are less taxon specific.

This would be most welcome. How do you want to proceed?

The latest commits tidy up the abstractions. We should have the full cross product at different levels of abstraction, e.g. {proximal, central, distal} {tarsal, carpal, abstract} {endochondral, bone, cartilage}.

What remains to be done is the details of the specific elements classified by this abstract structure. There are some difficult (for me anyway) issues of identity and homology and naming here.
