Steps to reproduce:
Go to Settings-> Email templates and make a modification to the template named Notification Email.
Then go to Contacts, select a contact, scroll to the bottom click New Message, type your message and send it.
The email that you will receive is based on the Notification Email template but the changes that you have made to the template will have not been applied.
The changes that were made on the Notification Email email.template should have been commited to the database so that any new email that I send will include those changes.
A quick way to test this on runbot would be to change the template Auto Delete to False and then send an email. You will see that the email will still be deleted. You can check the postgres db if possible to verify.
