Less active now but the archive is good, the content in this newsletter went beyond the hype.

Matthew Ball is an investment and strategic advisor through his company Epyllion. His essays on metaverse related matters tend to be speculative and his work on the metaverse is mainly theoretical. His work should be interpreted as trying to push the industry to the future he sees, rather than reflecting on what is, which is on par for visionary investors, of course but not always reflecting technical reality.

tech won't save us logo Tech Won’t Save Us isn’t simply about tearing down tech. Inspired by the Luddites, it examines how technological development is constrained by capitalist imperatives, which include controlling workers and commercializing everything.
