My name is Dr Benjamin Blundell and I'm a Research Software Engineer at the Sea Mammal Research Unit (SMRU) π¦ at the Scottish Oceans Institute, π at the University of St Andrews π³
Previously, I was a PhD Student at King's College London π within the London Interdisciplinary Doctoral (LIDo) Bioscience Programme.
I'm a computer scientist by education, a Research Software Engineer by profession and theres a bit of bioscience in there too by. I started my PhD training with the London Interdisciplinary Doctoral (LIDo) Programme, with King's College London. I was formally part of the ch'ng group at the IoPPN, and the Cox group in Randall Centre for Cell & Molecular Biophysics.
I'm now based at the Sea Mammal Research Unit, over at the University of St Andrews, spending my time looking at Sonar Images with A.I. and computer vision.
