Inspiration from Existing Editors

Ajure should look to existing editors for inspiration-- both for ideas on what to implement as well as pointers on mistakes not to repeat.

Ideas from Emacs

• Make functionality discoverable (how do you figure out how to do something?)
• Focus on being a good editor, not something more.
• Do not use obscure shortcuts. If a modern usage convention exists, use that instead.

• In-application way to download and install extensions.
