I'd say that your second option would be best, in allowing for consistency of symbology. However for more advanced states (like Iowa) that are already pre-defined, it would be nice to have a field that would over-ride the algorithm. I sent the open 511 general email an email a few weeks ago with attachments of a spreadsheet that we use in determining symbology. |
