IT ticket #92842

Services to be deployed:

  • Grafana
  • InfluxDB
  • Cron job to ingest data from OBS

Will need on deployment method for external projects:

  • docker images provided by upstream
  • create packages on OBS

The metrics service just needs a service file added as an openSUSE-release-tools-metrics sub-package is already provided after #1159.

Finally got a VM and DNS entry! https://metrics.opensuse.org/

Basic services are running and completing final packaging and tweaks to make deployment easy and repeatable.

Deployment is complete, but open issue for clean way to update data short of re-querying (#1244). Incoming PR, needs code cleanup, of refactoring to reduce memory consumption so ingest portion will run for Factory on production machine.
