What variant of Codex are you using?
0.2.3
What feature would you like to see?
Bug/UX: No way to switch accounts without clearing browser session
When logging in via Google OAuth, Codex always authenticates with the previously used Google account. There is no UI option to select a different account or log out.
Steps to reproduce:
- Log in to Codex with Google Account A
- Log out from platform.openai.com
- Click "Sign in with Google" again
- Automatically logs back in with Account A — no account selection prompt
Expected behavior:
A "Switch account" or "Sign in with a different account" option should be presented, or the Google account picker should appear.
Workaround:
User must manually log out of Google in the browser, or use an incognito window — which is unintuitive and a poor UX experience.
