codex-assistant: a small CLI for inspecting and cleaning up local state (large rollouts, unused skills)

I built a small CLI for people using Codex locally:

It helps inspect and clean up local Codex state, especially when you have a lot of old sessions/rollouts, injected skills, or project AGENTS files.

Current checks include:

• JSONL rollout size, including interactive cleanup flows with quarantine/restore/trash options
• unused or never-used skills that are still being injected, including disabling/re-enabling
• AGENTS files discovered across projects

Installing and running is straightforward:

npm install -g @nathanzane/codex-assistant@beta
codex-assistant

The CLI scans your local Codex files and shows actionable options, such as quarantining old rollout files or disabling never-used skills.

Feedback welcome, especially from people with large .codex folders or lots of custom skills/AGENTS files.
