Since the hex radius scales to remain constant, you get the impression that the whole world is covered by sensors when zooming out. Not only does it give a cluttered view, but it is also very hard to see where the sensors are actually located.

My proposed change makes the hex radius smaller when zooming out so that the user gets a clearer view of where the sensors are located as well as which parts of the world are (not) covered.
