i'm getting:

Error 2 error LNK2038: mismatch detected for '_MSC_VER': value '1600' doesn't match value '1700' in ofxBaseGui.obj D:\openFrameworks\apps\devApps\projectGenerator\PocoNetSSLmdd.lib(Context.obj) projectGenerator

I presume this means that the libs which are being linked are built for vs2010. The isses apper to be with files:

  • PocoNetSSL.mdd.lib
  • PocoNetCryptomdd.lib

This occurs following recent PR of ofURLFileLoader.

@LeoColomb - it might be best to wait for you to look at the poco libs before i try anything here since you looked into this recently.

Yes, SSL (HTTPS) is not really compatible with VS2012' compilation at the moment. I'm working to rebuild some libs. Maybe @danthemellowman has already built it?
Also, I will send a second PR to fix all issues I met with VS2012, and, I hope, yours.

ah ok. i'm running against an older commit for now (i.e. directly before ofURLFileLoader came in)

i'm still experiencing lots of strange errors (e.g. project generator will compile but fails on start, my own projects are getting this _MSC_VER_ error also: https://gist.github.com/elliotwoods/5326785)

are these the types of errors that you are experiencing also?

Absolutely not. Maybe clean up all old compilations.

I haven't had time to move over the VS2012..or rebuild poco w/ssl support
in vs2012.....might try to squeeze it in today...but I've got to get stuff
working for a studio visit so I might just be coding on my project and not
working with the core.

I cannot prove that electrons exist, but I believe fervently in their

prod I'm willing to apply as an argument on their behalf. Electrons speak
for themselves."

cleaning all doesn't fix. it could be an issue in my project. i can't see anything strange, but i can't generate new projects either (without project generator).

so will look at project generator first

seems to be ofFile destructor issue
ofFile itselfs throws lots of warnings on compile

hey guys, I've recompiled these two poco libs using vs2012 and sent @LeoColomb a PR: tgfrerer/openFrameworks@win8-po

please check if these binaries work well for you, too…
