Hi all,

This pull request contains a backport of commit 42eb6847 from the openjdk/jdk11u-ri repository.

It does not apply cleanly. There was a minor merge conflict, including copyright years and unrelated code differences.

The commit being backported was authored by Alexander Zvegintsev on 8 May 2024 and was reviewed by Phil Race, Iris Clark and Andrew John Hughes.
