Is there a projected release date for OpenLayers 3? What about dates for when v2 functionality will be ported over and usable in production?

I'm creating Script# stubs and was wondering if I should start with v3 itself right now or implement for v2. Thanks!

We are aiming for a 3.0.0 release in June, with these features yet to be implemented and these already implemented.

While we're in alpha state (i.e. right now), the API still changes. Once released, it should be stable.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm excited to hear that v3 is around the corner and I'm looking forward to it!

Appreciate the work you guys have done!! I'll be asking my employer to consider sponsoring OL in the 2014 budget.

Hey guys, any updates on the release date? Is it ok to start using v3 in production now?

There is no consensus yet on a release schedule or feature set to be included in the release.

Cheers

Just wanted to mention that I've been using OL3 beta since beta 3 and there aren't many issues that we're facing. Most of them get resolved pretty quickly or have some form of a workaround. Thanks!

Thank you all, May i please know if there are any easy codings this time to perfom transaction services using OL3. thank you.

what do you mean by transaction services? WFS-T? Have you seen: http://boundlessgeo.com/2014/06/openlayers-editing-wfs-t/

Also, it's better to ask questions on the mailing list not on the issue tracker. Thanks.
