At the moment you can query for objects that have certain property values, but this is based on the name of the property alone. It should be based on the combination of propertyset name + property name.

Example future query:

{
  "type": {
    "name": "IfcBeam"
  },
  "properties": {
    "Materials": {
      "type": "Steel"
    }
  }
}

PropertySet names are required now, so query language has changed. A version number has also been added so version mismatches can be detected.

Final syntax example:

{
  "version": 2,
  "type": {
    "name": "IfcWall",
    "includeAllSubTypes": true
  },
  "properties": {
    "Pset_WallCommon": {
      "IsExternal": true
    }
  }
}
