Dark Mode

It's time to introduce dark mode to osm-ng as https://www.openstreetmap.org/ have it already :)
It's by no means perfect but I still think it's a step in a good direction.
Note that dark mode details such a text color, should map be darkened/dimmed etc. are highly controversial

It's something we should work on just before the end of the feature parity, the final feature. Date ETA being the end of 2024. Reason: to ensure it has a consistent design across the pages. I don't expect this to take more than a week's of development work (given that we already use Bootstrap and codebase is easily hackable).

The interface should present an easy option to switch color theme between light/dark/device like some other websites do. It's also a great opportunity to improve the color-accessibility of the site.

@Gustavo22Soaresh I messaged you on Discord. Please see if you can come up with some nice dark theme color palette designs.

As I mentioned earlier, the current theme of OSM.org has accessibility issues, especially in the light version. These problems are evident when analyzing contrasts like the following:

• 7ebc6f

Given that OSM-NG still uses Bootstrap as its foundation, we believe there won’t be significant challenges in implementing a dark mode similarly.

We are developing a new theme for OSM-NG using Design Tokens, a modern approach also adopted by WikiMedia for the new Wikipedia interface. This not only simplifies the creation of a dark mode but also enables the design of a completely new and consistent visual language for OSM-NG.

Dark theme is now supported and a video showcase is coming soon. Currently some of the dark theme colors are based on OSM.org and further accessibility work will be done as a part of #153.
