With the new page design, it is very inconvenient to look at multiple search results.

With the old page, one had a list of results and could click through them to find the right one.

With the new design, one gets the result one has clicked on with the full data of the point/way/relation. But there is no possibility to go back to the search result - even the searched term has disappeared from the search box.

Expected:

  • Some method to go back to the search result, e.g. a link on the top of the detailed view like "<< Back to the search results"
  • Alternatively (or in addition): Keep the search string in the Search box.

Yes there is, the change is recorded in the browser history so you can just hit back to go back.
