Huion Stylus Right-Click Error #3356

Describe the bug
I've got a Huion Graphic Tablet H610PRO connected to a windows computer. Whenever I press the stylus onto the pad to draw (or erase) a little circle appears around the cursor. If I then lift the stylus it brings up the right-click menu. If I try to draw then nothing happens until I drag the stylus a certain radius from the original point of pressure (and the circle). Then it starts drawing, but it creates a straight line from the original point of pressure and where it starts allowing me to draw.

It seems to be trying to use the nib as a left and right click and doesn't know which I want until I lift the stylus or reach outside the radius.

This is very impractical, I can't draw small lines and every line I draw starts off straight where I don't want it to. I don't know if it can be changed in settings, I have tried to no prevail. Note that the problem does not occur when I use the mouse or when I use the Graphic Tablet in different software.

To Reproduce
List steps to reproduce the behaviour.

  1. Set up a Huion H610PRO to a Windows computer
  2. Open OpenToonz
  3. Try draw

Expected behaviour
Start drawing as soon as the stylus touches the pad, not function as a right click, and not lose information within a certain radius of the original point of pressure.

Have you tried this? Right-click Windows Start button -> Search -> flicks -> Pen and Touch options -> Press and hold -> Settings ->disabling press and hold for right-clicking

Not sure if this will help but try enabling the following in OT: Preferences -> Touch/Tablet Settings -> Enable Windows Ink Support. Also make sure Windows Ink Support is enabled on the tablet. It might be on already.

This is a common windows issue, not a specific tablet issue. If you google it, you'll come across a number of solutions. Here's one:

Thanks for the replies. RattusaurusRex and DarrenTAnims, your advice (and link) helped solve the issue with the right click function. The circle no longer appears and neither does the right click menu.
However the problem with it not drawing until I draw the stylus a certain radius away from the original point of pressure is still occurring sometimes. Its an on and off thing (I can't see any regularity to it) SO sometimes it still draws a straight line through that radius which is impractical. But again this sometimes happens from when I open opentoonz and sometimes after drawing a while and sometimes not a all...

Here are two things that worked for me.
i) uninstall the driver and use the tablet without it the downside to this is that you cant use the push buttons but the other things work, like pen pressure.
ii)Go to mouse settings on your computer and change primary mouse button to left instead of right.

Adding this complete quote from another report:

The common theme with Huion tablets appears to be bad drivers.
In more than one case a problem has been resolved by REPLACING the current driver.
Note that this does not necessarily mean updating to the latest driver as that has been reported to cause problems in some cases and resolve them in others. It may be appropriate to dial back to an earlier driver where the current driver causes problems.

Bottom line reported from other Huion users: Deleting the driver fixes the problem
