It turns out that short-circuiting the EFAULT behavior on a short read breaks things on FreeBSD. So until there's a nicer solution, let's just revert the behavior for not-Linux. It turns out that short-circuiting the EFAULT behavior on a short read, while perfectly valid,
breaks things on FreeBSD. So until there's a nicer solution, let's just revert the behavior for not-Linux.
Description
It's an ifdef, it's not complicated.
Less hacky solutions I'm more than open to, but it doesn't seem like we have enough information to decide to behave differently in the Linux-specific code at the moment...
How Has This Been Tested?
It built. It passed the tests when I pushed the branch. We'll see past that.
