Note: I was able to successfully create a ZIM of the core pages of this website (Home, Knowledge Base, Recommendations) for personal use using the https://www.privacyguides.org/en/ URL and Zimit, though some pages such as Articles and Videos were omitted presumably due to the specific language pathing. This happens for the regular URL as well because it redirects to the specific language version. Despite this though, the main core pages are the most important and suitable for general use.

At Privacy Guides we generate ZIM files ourselves with zimwriterfs in our GitHub releases at: https://github.com/privacyguides/privacyguides.org/releases/latest/offline-privacy_guides.zim

This is currently only done for the English site and we don't include the blog articles in our releases either, although we could potentially change our workflow to do so... We could also potentially generate versions without extraneous files like decorative images? I'd be happy to have these releases mirrored in the Kiwix library if you have a mechanism to do so.

I would also prefer you grab our releases instead of scraping, because information in the tech field is highly time sensitive, and we include a timestamped warning in our ZIM file as a reminder of that:

@jonaharagon you rock, I love the idea of pushing ZIM in your Github Releases. Just checked and it is very good quality. Well done!

Don't know yet how to push this to the official Kiwix library though, comes back to the old question of community contributed ZIMs ...

I've spent some time optimizing these builds in privacyguides/privacyguides.org#3102 if it helps, so in our next release we will now generate files that match your naming (and other) conventions, that include all long-form articles, and that are properly deduplicated which saved 70-130MB per file.
